good quality, metal construction

Unlike crappy locks that come with luggage, this version is metal and won't break on first use. And the price is great!

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • No mold required

Did the job best in Luggage & Travel Gear

I bought for my luggage. They were still at my destination and nothing was missing, so they did their job. It is worth noting that there is a combination on each side of the lock. So if you're having trouble unlocking it, it might be worth flipping the lock and trying again.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was some

OK but confusing.

These locks are easy to apply but confusing when trying to open them. The number combinations are indicated on both sides of the lock. So you dial numbers but it doesn't open. Until you realize the numbers must be on the other side of the lock! Otherwise the castles are great! Tip: Using a permanent marker, place a large cross to the right of the lock.

Pros
  • Nice little thing
Cons
  • Some problems

Not made in China! for travel accessories

I loved my little Briggs and Riley lock until it disappeared (after years of use!) - disappeared from checked baggage on my last trip. I re-ordered a replacement and was pleased to see that it was made in Taiwan. This lock is practical and easy to use. The lock only opens/closes when the code is aligned - re-encrypt the code to save after locking. Just save your code in a safe place beforehand.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Damaged

Can't comment on functionality as the first one was out of production so I ordered a replacement. The numerals are difficult to read, don't index very well when turning the toggle switches, and setting the lock by pressing and holding the trigger while manipulating the dials requires both hands and the dexterity and eyesight of a watchmaker. The rest is a castle.

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • Annoyed
