Strength and knots

The strength of the 1 mm thick cord is very high. I made a rosary bracelet over 2 years ago and it is still as strong as the day I made it and I wear it every day. As for the knots, coat the knot with clear nail polish after tying it and it will last forever. I usually smear it, let it dry and do it again just to be sure, then when it's completely dry I trim it with nail scissors to get it closer to the knot. Great product, good price and super strong.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Little things

Easy to use / breaks down over time

I have been using Stretch Magic to make simple jewelry for many years. I love how easy it is to use. The only problem I found is that it breaks down within a few years. I have found that I have to reconnect my jewelry about every 5 years if I want to prevent breakage. Because of this, it is not particularly valuable compared to other types of jewelry cord. If you want something light and simple then this is the bomb! And if you keep your jewelry no more than a couple of years, then you will not

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Expensive

Easy to use, too thick for small holes in beads

I got Stretch Magic 1mm thick and it was definitely too thick for holes in my beads. So I bought the next 7mm and it went through, but I couldn't get the knot in the hole I had drilled. Now I've bought 0.5mm and I know it will work. I'm sure if someone weren't working with holes as small as these natural pearls, they would WANT 1mm. Make sure you know what size bead holes will fit. Also, be sure to stretch this material before use or you may find your bracelet sagging in a sock or two. So…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not automatic
