GaN technology, next generation charging technology!

So there's a new charger technology called gallium nitride. There's some scientific stuff, but the general description is that it's a silicon substitute for semiconductors. It transfers energy much more efficiently and doesn't heat up as easily. As an end user, you will notice this in two places. First, if you're in a state where you pay a lot per kWh, a GaN charger will save you pennies a month. Second, because you don't need that many gallium nitride semiconductors to charge anything, you don't have to worry about it getting that hot, which means you don't have to put huge heat sinks in it (that's why all your traditional chargers are huge). This allows companies like Baseus to make slimmer and smaller chargers. . This benefits you as you can get 2 or 3 port chargers that don't take up too much space compared to traditional silicon based chargers. Loading 2.0/3.0. While the regular companies aren't quite there yet, Baseus sells a Revain that suits my needs. One interesting thing about this charger is that it has a white LED when plugged in. I think you should know that it works. Its smaller form factor means it fits into most power outlets and has two USB-C ports, one for powerful computers (laptops), another for tablets, smartphones, etc. and a USB-A port for standard fast chargers. two devices, but it should use either *both* USB-C ports or a lower powered USB port + USB-A port I suppose.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
