The ear pierces are separate from the mask

When I bought this I was hoping that the ear pierces would be an addition to the top of the mask. In fact, the company simply made holes in the mask for the ears. The mask seems to sit very high on the face. My daughter, who has a hard time wearing her alligator, doesn't have too much trouble with it, but it's not her favorite mask. But my 6 year old son doesn't like it at all. It's too tight for him because he's so tall, and they both complain that it really gets in the way at the end of the day.
