My fibromyalgia specialist recommended this lotion to help with muscle spasms and spasms. I've only just started using it so can't speak about long term effects but so far the lotion is as described. It is odorless and becomes slightly sticky after drying. Also, if you have dry or sensitive skin on your hands, I would suggest wearing gloves to apply lotion to your body. Magnesium is a salt, and although this lotion is marketed for sensitive skin, it will sting if you have tiny cracks in your skin. In addition, it seemed to me that after several uses it dried out the skin of the hands even more. I'm glad I bought this regular lotion and not the Ultra with OptiMSM lotion. It turns out that this regular lotion has more magnesium per dose - 40mg elemental magnesium per 1ml pump compared to the Ultra Lotion with OptiMSM which only has 20mg elemental magnesium but an additional 20mg elemental sulfur.
