Review on Samsung DeX Pad Desktop Experience for Samsung Galaxy Note8, GS8, GS8+, GS9, and GS9+ with Fast Charging USB-C Wall Charger (US Version & Warranty) by Lisa Jones

Some flaws but so much potential

Here is a summary of my experience with the Dex Pad: Cons: 1. In some cases it may not be possible to use this device. I have a Tech21 case and it won't connect because the case covers the charging port too much. If you don't mind taking the case off here and there to enjoy the semi-PC, by all means! 2. APP Functions - 85% of my application list "works". Most of my apps actually open, but in the same orientation as your regular phone currently (January 2019). Made some updates to convert some social networks and apps like Instagram, Facebook and YouTube to display app view on desktop. As for the 15% that doesn't work, it will be my games like Clash of Clans, Fortnite for mobile, etc. Update (January 2019) Not many games have been included for use, but there are some new games, such as Brawl Stars working as well. How they can work with the tablet is another problem. Pros: (Cheer up, this is a promising device) 1. (Other software/app features) Fully compatible apps like all Microsoft 365 mobile apps are converted to look like Windows software, it's just amazing. I can't express how much I wanted this to work. It's a highlight because you can save progress, save to your phone, edit on the go, and use in Dex mode if you need a desktop. - (Preinstalled Apps) amsung's preinstalled apps like email, gallery etc. are (as expected) fully functional (and can run in full screen) just like Pro #1. Its utility apps like the ones listed make this Dex Pad cool. So it looks like Desktop.3. (mouse/keyboard compatible) Yes, I specifically use a USB enabled mouse with a Bluetooth enabled keyboard running in Dex mode (even in standard mobile mode, but it's good to know things don't change). The reason for this is ideal (one USB medium and one Bluetooth medium) because the Dex Pad only has 2 USB ports. So if you have a USB mouse and keyboard, you don't have room for external storage or a flash drive. REMEMBER. But in any case, the power for everything you use is yours. UPDATE (January 2019) 5. Resolution range: Dex Pad actually allows you to choose the resolution that suits you best, unlike its predecessor you can switch to 4K or into the Samsung QHD+ world I think.
