Review on 🧴 Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin, Acne, Eczema & Rosacea - Oil-Free, Soap-Free, Hypoallergenic Creamy Face Wash (12 fl. oz) by Tracy Madison

Really really hate that they replaced the old "Extra Gentle " cleaner with this one.

I have rosacea and extremely sensitive/hyperreactive skin and the old Neutrogena Extra Gentle cleanser was the only cleanser that worked well and didn't irritate my skin. I've tried many, many sensitive skin cleansers to replace them and so far none of them have worked and my condition has gotten a bit worse. It often happens that a cleanser works well once or twice after I've used it, and then it irritates my skin and I move on to the next cleanser. However, this particular cleanser (Ultra Gentle Hydrating) was so bad that my skin became severely irritated, burned and bright red after the first use. Speaking to Neutrogena: I understand that the chances of you returning the old Extra Gentle Cleanser are slim (although that would be great!). However, if you come up with a new cleanser that you call "very sensitive skin," how about getting it right by first testing it on a group of us with very sensitive/intolerant skin like me? This way you can play around with the ingredients as needed and make sure you're making the quality product you're talking about. I think very few skincare companies that make a "sensitive skin" line of products actually get it right. They simply create a list of ingredients they deem acceptable and approve their product. This also seems to be the case with this cleanser which I feel is a poor product and was not well tolerated by my very sensitive skin.
