Review on Premium Pearl: Upgraded Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker II by Lc Qu ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

In general, it's pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

I bought the second generation in the Boz salon, and then I bought the first generation in the secondary market. I am sure of the originality of both copies. The first generation has a more lively sound (better highs and better detail), noticeably stronger bass and more pronounced stereo. The same "wow effect" that I read about Soundlink Mini occurs precisely when listening to the first generation. The low frequencies of the Soundlink Mini 1 cannot be compared with the low frequencies of the middle and older models of JBL and Sony, but, in general, only Boz has a neat sound, without adjusting for size. Correction for size and makes the same wow effect, killing all-all-all flaws. Now comparing the two mini soundlinks, considering the non-acoustic part: 1 - an older bluetooth, but the connection, for example, when moving from room to room, is stable, the music does not break, it is not distorted. 1 - the worst autonomy. It is well known that the second generation plays a few tens of percent longer than the first. 1 - ancient connectors, interfaces. The second generation has a micro-usb, there is a voice-over of the battery discharge by tens of percent and in general many actions and operations are voiced (by the way, this is one of the criteria for the originality of the speaker), the second generation also has a microphone for using the speaker as a headset. Returning to the audio part, the impression was that the second generation gives a more compressed and filtered sound. For example, in a song you will hear the soloist with the main instruments and effects, and all the minor, playing along will be less noticeable. But in the sound of the first generation, all parties and effects seem to be equalized "in rights". Sometimes the leading voice/instrument is even clamped down and fades into the background, "into the fog". The latter does not always seem appropriate to me, but if you put both speakers side by side and listen in turn, then you like the sound of the first generation more. And by the way, it can still be found on the secondary. I hope my experience will be useful for someone

It's a pity they were discontinued, I think.
