Not the same Olay Beauty Fluid as before

I don't write many reviews and I am sad to write these but I feel it is my duty to other users of the product to do so. Sigh. A little background first: I am very sensitive to facial lotions/creams/serums and cannot use most due to eye irritation from the release of certain ingredients or fragrances. Because of this sensitivity, I've missed out on many of the best skincare products that could benefit my middle-aged skin. Enter Olay Beauty Fluid. I was able to use these without any irritation. What a relief. While it's not the newest and greatest high-end skincare revolution in the world, it did a very good job of keeping my skin hydrated and happy. I also use argan oil as needed during the winter months, but not too much anymore as argan oil doesn't seem to be doing much for me anymore. I regularly get compliments on my skin and people want to know what I use on my face. I'm telling you the truth, Olay Beauty Fluid. Nobody ever believes me and I say yes, plain old pink olay your grandmother used. :) This is going to sound like a fairy tale, but people actually came (er, came) up to me and looked at my face in disbelief, trying to get a better look at that beautiful skin that Olay Beauty Fluid gives (gave) to me . I live at high altitude in a very dry climate so it is important to have a good skincare lotion as without it my face can get sore, flaky, cracked and wrinkled. Olay Beauty Fluid has been a lifesaver for my skin in this harsh climate. A few months ago I ordered my regular Olay Beauty Fluid here at Revain and it immediately changed. The smell was different, the color was different, and its performance and skin protection were seriously insufficient. It didn't feel like Olay Beauty Fluid to me and also felt sticky while previously it blended well with my skin leaving nothing but soft, delicious, comfortable and glowing skin. It left my skin oily but painfully dehydrated. It was dry, it hurt to smile or move my face, and I also started getting little bumps that I never had even as a teenager. It also makes my eyes sting and tears run down my face all day. Obviously the formula has changed and I'm not happy with that. Why would Olai turn the perfect product into a cheap foot cream from a discount store? Why Olya? But why? Now I'm looking for something equivalent to use. I have tried other skin care lines but I still haven't found the "One" Olay Beauty Fluid USED. I hate leaving a negative review but after months of trying to get used to a new formulation of this product, seeing the quality of my facial skin deteriorate and knowing for so many years it's good if I use it, I had to share my experiences with other consumers.

Pros
  • Not only useful for its intended purpose
Cons
