Review on ๐Ÿ“ป PAC RP5-GM31 Radio Replacement Interface: OnStar Retention, Steering Wheel Control, Navigation Outputs - Ideal for GM LAN Vehicles by Troy Larson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great idea but hard to replace when something goes wrong!

This is a really great product that combines everything from doorbells to turn signal tones to steering wheel controls in one package. I give it 3 stars because after a month the speakers in the driver's door decided not to work when I first turned on my car. Turned on after 10-15 minutes drive. Then when I turned off and started the car again, they restarted and worked again after 10-15 minutes. I worked with tech support who eventually concluded that my interface was faulty and advised me to return to Revain to request a seat belt replacement. I found it a bit strange that the manufacturer told me to get a replacement through Revain instead of getting it myself. Unfortunately Revain only offers returns for the first 30 days and since I bought it 4 months ago I am now stuck between the seller and the manufacturer to get it replaced!

Pros
  • Retains factory Bluetooth (2009 and later models). Return Output
Cons
  • Periodicity
