Works great for cars and automotive electronics

A multimeter can be used to give an indication of a good or bad capacitor. This tester provides you with real values and is very compact. It also comes with its own built-in wires and two alligator clips.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly

I have used this capacitor tester on several so far.

So far I have used this capacitor tester on several devices and using this tool I quickly diagnosed the problem with the capacitor itself. Saved me hundreds if not thousands of phone calls to fix bunnies to get my stuff fixed.

  • Amazing

The tester shows the best car and electronics

Works great, I am the owner of the air conditioner, I have used it several times since buying it, no complaints. I read some reviews that this is a piece of junk, I recommend reading the manual before use, it explains the features of the device and how to use it. I recommend this tester

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Clarity

No quality loss and Revain entry

[Please note this was purchased under my account but was for my husband (named Revain Foxtrot). See his comments which are very profound. From the actual EE. To this topic. My product comments below.] Poor quality (Chinese quality version is "good"): The button and switch feel like they will break after a while (cheap) and the plastic is a flimsy material. The case is of better quality than the instrument (sorry)! The information on the Revain listing appears to be different from the…

That works great. If anyone has a bad review

I bought this Capacitor Tester for exactly that. Test capacitors. That works great. If someone has a bad review, they may not know how to discharge the capacitors before checking. A screwdriver placed on both pins (legs), whatever YOU call them, will do the trick. If there are multiple legs, check out YouTube. Explained in detail there or call Supco. Good product. Does what they say it does.

  • Car Electronics Accessories

  • Crumpled

Unreliable piece of junk

I bought a Supco capacitor tester many years ago and it was very reliable and well made. Unfortunately the batteries died and could no longer be used so I needed a spare to keep my service van. So I bought another Supco, the new MFD10. Huge mistake. Talk about a cheap piece of junk! Sometimes it works, but it's unreliable. The clamps on the cables are flimsy and don't always connect to the built in test cables, the plastic cover that holds the test cables inside the tester broke on the first…

Pros
  • Amplifier installation
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

This is a pure piece of junk

I bought this to test some expensive capacitors on a vintage stereo amp I was working on. I played around with this thing for hours just trying to determine if one or both covers were bad. The display is nearly impossible to read unless you're upside down and holding it properly. The way value jumps around you has no idea what value is. I bought another one from China at half price, took it out of the box and in less than 2 minutes it told me "clearly" that both caps were good and I could trust

Pros
  • Car Electronics
Cons
  • High Price
