If you're looking for something that can help slow you down or "maybe" dissuade someone from stealing your camera just because you see the chain, this could be for you. When assembled, they fit perfectly and appear at least partially fixed. But up close, a simple Phillips screwdriver to loosen the clasps or a quick bite of the chain with a good pair of wire cutters won't help anymore.

Seems to be a good product so far, I'm hoping it will prevent my cameras from being stolen as the magnetic mounts that came with the cameras initially caused someone to steal my $200 Camera stole and I was just salt and had to come up with money to replace the wish. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that I wish it was metal and had room for a lock because any crook with a screwdriver could just go up and unscrew it, we'll see how long it lasts in this one crime pit holds.

This is a decent item but with some caveats; Firstly (and I made this mistake along with another reviewer) DO NOT attempt to spread the holder, it will break in half with little effort. You have to slide around the camera. Another thing is that it's a bit difficult to get the chain between the two sides and hold it there so you can screw in the screw. I like the ARLO safety chain accessory, however it can only be used with ARLO cameras without a case on the camera. There must be an additional security chain clip that fits over the protective case. I like my cameras to be protected from the elements with a protective case, but it doesn't mount them properly.
