This is definitely a China special - cheap, thin, badly glued. We buy these little brown bags to make homemade popcorn in the microwave. Every other bag passes this test, sometimes 2-3 batches. These trash bags explode instantly, spilling popcorn everywhere. I know they aren't "designed" for this, but no other bag has ever been made. and they all work, ergo - garbage - in the form of a bag.

All other packaging tears when opened. The glue on the bottom stuck the bag together and then ripped it open. As they were needed for an event that day, I couldn't help but return. I also paid extra for faster shipping which annoys me even more. In addition, some bags had no glue on the bottom and were completely unusable. Thus, a bag that ruptures or a bag that is not completely sealed defeats the purpose of the bag.

I usually buy brown paper at the grocery store for lunch. They weren't that big, 9 5/8 inches compared to 10 1/2 inches at the grocery store. Slightly smaller than the grocery store 5 inch width. The same depth is 3 inches. The paper was definitely not as thick as the ones in the supermarket. I love the fact that they are made from recycled paper.
