A little disappointed, a bad purchase.

I struggled for an hour to install the Noctua NH-L9X65 cooler (from the list of compatible ones) - as soon as one of the two clamping screws is baited, the second categorically cannot. On the Nth attempt, it turned out to be set at 90 ° from the originally planned one, so that it blows not on the south bridge and vrms, but on the memory and the panel with connectors, while the heat pipe of the cooler rests on the south bridge heatsink. When the power saving mode is set in the supplied ASRock…

Pros
  • One advantage: the only MiniITX board on the market with a TB3 port.
Cons
  • It's hellishly noisy, the southbridge even in idle heats up ~ 60 °, and the fan on it drowns out the vidyuhi and percent. The external eGPU Gibabyte AURUS Gaming Box 1070 could not be launched with it - but for this alone I needed a TB3 port! M.2 connector - on the bottom side, i. E. An SSD with a heatsink will not fit. And without a heatsink, the Gen4 SSD overheats and goes into throttling, in which all the advantages of Gen4 are lost and the disadvantages remain in the form of an overpriced price. When contacting ASRock international technical support (because there is no local 2022 one), having learned that from 2022 they immediately send it to the dealer. And the dealer (OLDI) sends it to the manufacturer. Those. you will not receive any support for ASRock products.

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

At 30%, the chipset fan is inaudible (on an open stand), you can increase the speed for the case, but even so everything is cold. *(the valve is configured in the BIOS on the H / W Monitor tab, in the images - my numbers) *

Pros
  • - Memory overclocking (ballistics 3000@15 started at 4800, x570 TUF - max 4400) - Good power supply (4 phases*ISL6617A, ISL99227 60A Power Stage in both smart arms) - Thunderbolt on AM4 - WiFi 6 - Bluetooth 5.0 - 3x USB 3.2 Gen2, 4x USB 3.2 Gen1 (and no usb2.0)
Cons
  • - Mount (installed DeepCool RedHat (3700x passively cools in stress tests and games) - On the machine, the chipset spinner is too loud (treated by manual speed control)

Do not use with Cooler Master Hyper 212

I installed the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler and there was a big problem. The carrier template presses on a chip from behind, so you can't use it. So I just tried the nuts on the board. Well the geniuses at ASRock decided to wrap some electronics around one of the holes. It didn't look like the mother was touching anything but the motherboard wouldn't turn on like there was a short circuit. I unscrewed the bolt and put a plastic washer on top of the board and then a nut on top and lo and…

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Faulty

This is a great motherboard with great features, especially Thunderbolt 3. However, there are some issues, the heatsinks around the processor are so high that it limits your choices is with coolers. Depending on the selected case, the height of the CPU cooler in the SFF design is limited. The height of the heatsinks and fans on this motherboard further reduces this. I ordered an ID-Cooling IS-60 cooler which I had to return as the heatsinks on this motherboard are very tall. I would have gotten

Two boards, no computer - *EDIT* One computer

I have two of these. I've built my own desktop computers since I was a kid and I think I know how to build a computer. Months of wasted free time have passed and I still have 0 working Ryzen installs. The first one turns on and seems to be trying to post but no video comes out and the speaker doesn't beep. The second doesn't even try to turn on. I just push the button and nothing happens. *Update* The problem was the RAM I originally bought. Getting the right RAM changed everything. It's still…

Huge improvement for my build!

I have been using Asus P8H61-I R2.0 for a long time, paired with Intel i5-3470 and 16GB Kingston DDR3-10600. I started with a few hard drives and a very crappy Geforce GTS450. I ended up switching to SSDs and the GTX-1060. While it still did pretty well everything I asked of it, the new generation of hardware was too much of a temptation and I decided to update it. The main reason I chose this board was the built in Thunderbolt connection and the form factor. RGB is also a nice bonus. After…

ASRock should be ashamed of this fee.

I've used other ASRock B450/X370/470 boards with great success, but that's not the point. I was hoping to get Thunderbolt 3 on AMD. First you need an Intel (LGA 1511) cooler for this board. Yes, you read that right, for an AMD board you need a cooler that you will most likely never use outside of this build and also don't have on hand. Why? It must have something to do with the chipset layout and Intel-related stuff, but it's a nasty surprise nonetheless. You then end up with a horrendously…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Annoyed

As the title suggests this is now an updated review - and yes I bought it here at Revain. To be honest I expected a better ASROCK! My setup is the last part below if you want to know what I'm currently using. Pros - this motherboard has plenty of them: (which is great) and a decent amount of USB 3.2 ports - solid AM4 / supports up to 5950X (yes it is)! So this is a great way to upgrade in the future! - PCIE Gen 4 for M.2 slot and graphics card slot is great and decent BIOS for overclocking.…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Long wait

It is impossible to use, a bad product.

I bought the motherboard for my home computer. Out of the box, it did not support the XMP profile of the RAM (G. Skill, 3600). Manual settings managed to start the memory at a frequency of 3400. The problem disappeared after flashing BIOS version 2.00. But now the UEFI settings are periodically reset to their "default" values. I have not yet established the cause and pattern. The biggest question for the board is the heating of the south bridge. In idle, its temperature is about 65 ° C. In…
