Soft and warm! the best comforters and bedspreads

I bought two of these, the pink twin and the gray one size and I am very happy with both. my bed until I left the house; I liked its velvety texture and warmth; just a little heavenly consolation. I've thought about this blanket for years but never knew what it was called and somehow I didn't realize they were still available until I stumbled across them at JC Penney's a few years ago. I was put off by the negative reviews but ended up buying one and making sure they are as great as I remember.

So far I am satisfied with the Vellux Blanker.

Vellux comforters have been around since the 80's. The last one I had was completely worn out so I went in search of a new one. I started reading the reviews and was concerned that the quality had dropped. I tried to find one locally but it turns out nobody sells them anymore so I went ahead and ordered. Got a new one today (Ivory Full Size/Queen Size) and it seems thinner/lighter than the ones I've had in the past. I only noticed a faint odor that could be from the plastic packaging, nothing…

  • Legacy model

The stench that won't wash off, the harsh faded coloring and severe lint shedding after washing sounded terrible. However, I am very picky about the feel of the blanket. I want warmth but can't stand being weighed down by a heavy weight or getting tangled and unwieldy and the Vellux originals are the only ones that fit the bill. My Vellux originals are 15 years old, have no holes or

Warm, light but smells of VOCs.

Warm and lightweight but with a strong smell of formaldehyde. from my parents and it is very soft, light and warm. My parents duvet is 10 years old and looks a bit worn but still in good condition. This new duvet is warm and lightweight but still starchy after 4 washes. According to the enclosed PACKAGE LEAFLET, it says that the more often it is washed, the softer it becomes. VOC in the spotlight! It smelled like chemicals right out of the box. After 4 washes it smells like chemicals. It is…
