Works perfect. ish: Data Storage

security key works properly. Technically this is a great product. I was hoping to use it to log into Windows, but Windows just won't let me. I wanted secure login to Windows 10, but it doesn't work well with Windows. No matter how you do it, you will eventually need to use passwords or PINs. As a replacement for something like Google Auth, this works great. You don't need a phone, you don't need to enter any codes. In general, I'll put it on the shelf and forget about it for a while. I'll test…

Pros
  • Works with Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Github, AWS and anything that supports FIDO2 or FIDO U2F.
Cons
  • negative present

Open source alternative for Yubikey, Google TItan etc.

Availability I've used it on my Windows PCs, Pixel 3a phones and Chromebook Duet tablets with minimal* issues. NFC works great in addition to USB-A female to USB-C female adapters. I chose this model over the USB-C model because there are more USB-A devices. Also, USB-C female to USB-A male adapters are non-compliant and unsafe. I wondered why it wasn't recognized until I flipped it. Oh!

Pros
  • Available in multiple colors. Add a multicolored set of custom covers!
Cons
  • Update

Useful FIDO U2F Key

Works as advertised. USB works (make sure you plug it in correctly as it may not fit properly; newer models are reversible), NFC works. This is good for on-the-go authentication. I like the transparency and auditability of open source products, which is why I chose it over the competition. Yes, and the price is good too. The only issue I had was that I was having a hard time getting it to work on my Linux Mint machine, which required a decent amount of software/dependency installs (only 2 or 3)

Pros
  • Secure your logins with two-factor authentication and stay safe from phishing and other online attacks.
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great for everyday use and cheaper than other

I really liked this article. Slightly cheaper shipping than direct from Solokey. It worked right out of the box. Keep in mind that the NFC feature is still finicky. It doesn't work on phones and computers except in the browser. Sometimes not even on browser phones. Chrome is the most compatible, otherwise Edge/Chromium.

Pros
  • open source hardware and software. Made in Italy.
Cons
  • Other Other
