This is a well designed phone holder. You can install it on air vents or dashboard. I chose the dash to improve visibility, not to block the air/heat. One thing I had trouble assembling is that you have to "squeeze" the ball head into the receiver. . My friend finally installed it with some cleverness and it worked. Just for your information.
