I was thinking about getting a nice fabric case for my new tab but I went with it mainly for the price and value, what i got First, it has a kickstand, which is important for my use. Second, it has a screen coating and doesn't stick to the screen and doesn't blister or lint, which you have to live with. It's a piece of hard plastic that you can STILL easily swipe the screen with. I once had an Otterbox for my Note 4 and thought it was very good. Saved me from several potential disasters. Third, it's black, which is great for nighttime viewing - lighter colored frames can obscure the view (which is why most TVs are black). Fourth, the price was great and as I said, it's similar to the Otterbox but a lot cheaper!
