I've been using Speedplay X-2 pedals for 20 years now. With hard cases, like Culkover. While they're necessary, they're a pain in the ass. They don't stay forever. You must take them off to ride and put them on once you dismount. BUT, these cases, NEXT COVERS: WOW! That's right, I put new boots on them. But I have no problem holding them, they fit well and seem to be holding up very well. I love that I can just buckle up with them. You unhook, dismount and you have traction. Where have you been all my life! I highly recommend them. Use some glue if you have to if they don't fit/hold tight.
