Review on 📱 Speck BalanceFolio iPad Pro 12.9-Inch Case (2018/2020) - Stormy Grey/Charcoal Grey (Model: 134860-5999) by Tony Battaglia

I've been using Speck Balance Folio cases on my old 9.7" iPads for 9 years. Sometimes I would drop my iPad on the hard concrete floors of Home Depot and Costco stores. Luckily the case has always protected my iPads, no damage. When this happened, the corner of the case cracked and I bought a new case, but a cracked corner of the case is better than a damaged iPad. I bought an ipad pro 12.9 4th gen 2020 and initially decided on another case with a magnetic base that securely holds the iPad in different landscape modes (Ztotop case). This is a great feature and very handy as I mostly use my iPad on my lap and the magnets are very strong. However, this suitcase is much heavier and uses flexible material on the sides of the suitcase. When I reach up my iPad with one hand to pick it up, the corner sometimes pops out of the case, so I was worried about how well it would protect my iPad in the event of a fall. So I went with the proven Speck Balance Folio. and it's great, as expected. The case is much lighter (weighs 1lb 0.9oz on my food scale). The speaker cutouts fit, as do the buttons and charging port. My iPad fits snugly in the case and I can easily hold it with one hand. I would give this Speck case 5 stars except the grooves aren't very deep for holding the iPad in landscape mode and when using it on your lap. , sometimes slipping out of the groove. This never happens when you put an iPad on a table. This has been a problem with all Speck scales over the years. But most of the time I use it as a typewriter, so it's not a big deal for me. If bacon had made the grooves a little deeper or magnetic I would rate it 5 stars. Lightweight, great protective case that passes military tests. I've trusted Speck's cases for years.
