Review on 🎒 Mubasel Gear Insulated Hydration Backpack with 2L BPA Free Bladder - Ideal for Running, Hiking, Cycling, and Camping by Brandon Kraemer

First of all - it's a nice compact little package. I've recently started increasing my mileage in hiking/running and wanted something to take with me. I've used it on half a dozen short runs/hikes (less than 15 miles each) and one long 15-mile hike at Red Rocks. First the belts.? I'm 5'9", about 145 pounds and have a rather small torso. It took countless adjustments and tightening to try to fit the pack properly. Stop just a little to get the right setting. Once the adjustment was finally correct, I was left with tons of straps just hanging around. I'm hesitant to cut them, but I had to tuck/tuck/tear/roll the straps as much as possible so they wouldn't hit me while running. I ran with a backpack, I ran 5-6 miles at a moderate pace and got completely wet through the back/shoulder straps. The back of the backpack (against my back) was disgusting. I'm by no means a strong sweater, so just FYI in case that bothers you. Yes, but the liquid in the bladder can never stay cold. I didn't notice it for the first few uses because it was State Park fountain water and it wasn't too cool when I put it in my bladder. However, at Red Rocks I literally had ICE water poured into my bladder mixed with some kind of squishy Gatorade. It was just 80-82 and at sunrise (from about 10am to 12pm) the liquid barely "cooled" for 45 minutes. I suspect this is a direct result of the pack creating so much heat between your body and the pack itself (#2 - sweat factor) that it transfers heat to the pack/bladder. 4. - WATER RESISTANCE? I strongly doubt it. Haven't had a backpack in a downpour before, but with sweat soaking through the material so quickly, I can't believe the backpack is waterproof. It rained lightly on the trail yesterday and the material was completely soaked and held water - it didn't roll, I'm guessing "waterproof". I wouldn't risk having anything valuable in my backpack that won't get wet. 5. - STIFFNESS. When I brought the backpack to Red Rocks I had it in my backpack. It was a really roomy Vera Bradley pack, but even with the bladder and tubes removed, the pack didn't roll/compress much. Only a Mubasel bag and my Brooks fit into the main compartment of the backpack. I don't know if this is an advantage over the packaging itself during use - just another design consideration. Overall after a pretty good use straight out of the box (literally first use the day I received it) I'm happy with the packaging and would buy again.
