I'm very impressed with how well this mini pc works! Actually, I had some doubts that it could work satisfactorily, but I just decided to give it a try. In short, it's fast for what it offers, but certainly slower on certain computing tasks for what you'd get in much faster computers these days. . But for less than $150? Pretty good! The speed is best for its intended purpose - entertainment and light word processing in my use case. But before settling on this particular mini pc, I looked at other mini pc's on Revain just to see what they offer in terms of hardware specs. and total cost. I chose it because of the processor type and its speed for overall cost. I liked the Intel Celeron processor on this device for its faster speeds (but with the power efficiency of other low-end processors), allowing everything to stay cool in this small mini PC form factor, while still offering more power and speed than the processor, similar to Atom (found in other advertised mini PCs). I've only occasionally heard some fans come on briefly when I start this computer. It got warm at best, never hot and never with the fans constantly spinning (because the CPU is very power efficient anyway). So when I looked at the specs of the 14nm Intel Celeron N3060 processor, I saw that it debuted in April 2015. , so it's definitely an older processor. But what I liked was the built-in Intel HD Graphics 400, which isn't powerful enough for today's 3D games, but definitely supports 4K/H.265 video acceleration - great for watching HD or 4K movies, YouTube videos and connections. to your TV or monitor. I was more satisfied with regular Windows than Windows Pro as I believe the only difference between OS versions is the security options offered - I still use this computer mostly for fun and ease of use. Not for professional use. It even has an SD card slot to add more storage, and you can upgrade the SSD (check the manual for some instructions) to get more storage the same way. If you upgrade the memory, you can store more movies and files. than the standard 64GB. Especially when it becomes a portable device for you. Speaking of portability, this item is very lightweight and small enough to carry around the house. You can connect it to your TV or computer monitor with an HDMI cable to serve as your fast-growing and versatile home entertainment system. I would never have thought that mini PCs would occupy this market niche. Signing into my Windows account was very quick. Fast setup. Everything on this computer was synced with my Microsoft account and files from One Drive. When I used the computer, it initially slowed down a bit and applications and its windows did not load quickly enough. I thought maybe it was a RAM issue, but then I realized that not all Windows updates were done. I updated Windows 10 and now the performance of this computer is what I expected. Well printed, not slower. Videos load much faster in browsers. And I was able to load multiple windows with no lag like before. So there is something to consider if the computer does not function optimally the first time. But don't expect this computer to instantly load all the images at once like your normal full-fledged computer. When I log into MS Office, I can do some light word processing, which is very convenient. But I did notice that typing on both my wired mechanical USB keyboard and my K380 Logitech Bluetooth keyboard in Microsoft Word (in the browser) caused a slight lag (noticeable but not disruptive to my workflow). Maybe it's a Microsoft server problem? However, typing elsewhere outside the Microsoft server/website was fine on this machine. I tested the USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports using a mechanical keyboard with a USB cable and it worked fine. I watched several pink panther videos and nature videos. Very immersive with no lags or interruptions in streaming. Very impressive! I can only recommend this mini PC. I think I could have done with more RAM, e.g. B. 8GB, a bit more security, but apart from that and ensuring Windows 10 updates, everything should run smoothly. Great value for money, so lightweight in a small form factor, plus expandable storage for more movies/files/photos when needed.
