Review on ๐Ÿพ Ultimate Safety: Sherpa Forma Frame Airline Approved Crash Tested Pet Carrier by Monica Thomas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I have several sherpa bags. This is the best option for road trips and home use.

I've been waiting for this stretcher for a long time. My dog and I travel a lot and we usually use a small Sherpa holdall. The little Sherpa is great for air travel but too limited for road trips and regular home use. That is the answer. It's big enough for my 13 pound dog to curl up and stand up, but still small enough not to be thrown out when the car slows down. I think it's good that it passed the crash test. The frame is strong and covered with loops for use with a variety of seat belts. The mesh is also of better quality. It's almost perfect, but the pillow is a little flimsy. No big deal, you can easily add a rug designed for a small drawer. If you are looking for a home or car solution this is great. For plane travel I would still recommend the little Sherpa as it fits under the seat. That's definitely not going to happen. Also, if you are looking for a Sherpa for air travel, I highly recommend the Sherpa Delta bag. It offers the most space and has a closed side that protects your pets from air intakes in the floor of the plane. I also have a wheeled bag, but it takes up a lot less room over my head. In fact, I think it's at least 2 inches shorter because of the wheels. It's also heavy/uncomfortable and three times the price of a Delta. Another recommendation for air travel is to invest in a small battery-powered handheld fan. For some reason planes no longer seem to have air conditioning at the gate. It gets hot on the ground even if the bag is well ventilated. A small fan keeps your dog from overheating in the event of a delay. Trust me, it pays to keep your pet safe and comfortable. Sherpa products are well made, they don't fall apart, and the materials don't have a cheap plastic smell (I've noticed that tent smell with other tote bags). . They are more expensive, but you only buy them once. We've booked more trips than I can count. With a Sherpa, my dog has a little piece of home everywhere. It really reduces travel stress :)
