When taken out of the bag, the wool hair looked too white, smooth and uniform to believe it was real. I was very disappointed, but after adjusting to my somewhat damp apartment on a hot day, some fibers began to twist and curl like my other wool items. It was starting to feel more real than what used to look like straight strands of plastic. I did a "test by fire" with a few fibers. These include: fiber from this item, wool from real sheepskin, a bundle of fine cat hair, and fiber from two different faux fur throws. Although it smelled awful, this product didn't react at all to my faux fur and melted/burned like natural fibers. (Note the cat hair - my longhair has thick fur that sheds in tufts, so this seemed like another natural option, although it may seem odd.) I will note that the headrest part can interfere with visibility, so put it up Make sure it isn't. Before driving, do not be too distracting if you look behind you from the driver's side. I just moved this part further and brushed the wool so it's flatter here. I bought a used item in an open box but it looked completely untouched. Many Thanks.
