I'm a Deep South settler living in Washington and this jacket is great for the weather here. I find it very warm. I'm 5ft 3130lbs with a smaller bust and I had to go from a S to a M because it was too tight to layer. Still a bit tight for a medium size in my opinion, but overall a great jacket. My only real complaint is that the zipper is quite difficult to close. It's smooth once you snap it into place.
