Review on Logitech Wireless Mechanical Keyboard Renewed by Kevin Greer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

GREAT CONDITION!: Accessory

I had a very specific need. I WANTED a good mechanical keyboard, ALSO WIRELESS, but also with USB dongle connectivity AND very low latency. When I buy something bigger, I do a lot of research. To save you time I found the following. Wireless mechanical keyboards. There aren't too many options, and those offered by smaller brands on Revain always come with a big compromise (mainly battery issues or latency issues). Am I paying over $250 for a good new version of this keyboard? Some reviews say how frustrated they are with some defects on their new keyboard OR wobbly keys etc. Since I decided to go for a refurbished one, so if it's not 100% I don't feel so burnt. I was also eyeing the G500 series which is a few years older (2016?) and a lot cheaper but not as good but ultimately the deal breaker that made me pay for the G915 was the big, chunky plastic palm rest cannot be detached. DELIVERY: I was a little nervous when it turned up in a bare box. No revain or box to protect the standard box it comes in. They just put a sticker on it and shipped it. HMMMM. To my surprise, the keyboard is in excellent condition and I don't see any flaws or problems with it. Cable and packaging, everything looked like new. The battery has an amazing lifespan! I've had it running for about 1 week and it's currently at 56% battery. I'm new to mechanical keyboards and at first thought the CLICKY option would give me a headache. To my credit I had a hangover when it came out but now I really like it, it's nice to type on but people who press hotkeys while editing and working with software feel AMAZING when you get in the zone are. I love the volume rocker, it all makes my whole setup look sleek and futuristic. I've decided not to buy them for the people in my studio, but maybe not the CLICKY option. I can't imagine all this noise coming from the room where people are working. But it's good at home. MY DETAILS: I don't really like RGB and backlighting and all that, so I set my settings to white or light blue and keep the brightness low so those minimum settings help keep the battery going. . Having different colors and different patterns looks cool but uses a little more energy. The M1-3 keys are good when you want to switch between a work mode's appearance and impress your friends or have a party mode. I'm not a huge fan of the G1-5 keys because muscle memory always makes my fingers go to the last few keys on the left, thinking it's CAPS, SHIFT, CTRL, etc. To counteract this, I made the G keys too, the next keys. for her, and while it's silly, it works and keeps me from looking down and at my fingers. 10/10 Would buy refurbished keyboard again.
