Review on πŸ’“ EMAY Portable ECG Monitor: Wireless Heart Rate & Rhythm Tracking for iPhone, Android, Mac & Windows by Lori Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing little device!

I am so impressed with this portable EKG monitor! I didn't even know these devices existed until I stumbled upon them at Revain! I bought this mainly because I had PACs and PVCs and wanted to see if I could spot some of these on an EKG when I felt like I had a lot. I was able to see one of these on this monitor recently and you can clearly see the missed beat on the EKG! However, the device didn't warn me that it had caught it, it just said "No anomalies". The instructions that came with this device say it can detect PVC and PACS, but it doesn't say it will detect a missed shot when I know for sure I have one because I've sensed it and picked it up could see for himself on the EKG. I am attaching a picture of the heartbeat EKG to this review. I'm not sure, maybe it was just a coincidence that it missed the jump, or maybe this device didn't detect this anomaly, but I just found it interesting that it didn't notice. This question doesn't really bother me because I kind of know what I'm looking for when looking at an EKG, but I know other people might not. Based on my experience, I'll take the no anomalies reading with a grain of salt; Just because he says it's nothing abnormal doesn't mean it wasn't there. That little issue aside, I think this device is great for its portability and its amazing new technologies. It works great with my MacBook Pro and I can easily view and print EKG readings. I also feel like this device gives me peace of mind and helps me get some better rest knowing I can take a basic reading of my heart if something is wrong. I would recommend this device to anyone who has palpitations and wants to try and capture it in an EKG reading, or anyone who just wants some peace of mind.
