I was hesitant to buy because I couldn't see the exact colors in the photos and didn't see anything about the colors in the reviews. Decided to give it a try. A dark color that looks either brown or purple is actually brown with a purple tint, not magenta. My room is greyish and the furniture is dark brown/blackish. (If you look at the color palette of SW 7643 it matches this duvet cover perfectly.) The bedspread is quite soft and is the perfect weight with our duvet insert. Our insert itself is the perfect warm/cool and we were afraid the case would change the effect and make us too hot - it is NOT. That's great. The only negative thing I have to say about the cover is that the inner straps were a little torn. The two corners were fine, the 3rd corner joint was a little flimsy but still managed to get it to work, and the 4th corner joint was completely missing. We've been using the cover for about a week and so far the insert has stayed on the duvet cover. I'm not thrilled with the design, but the colors match perfectly, so we're totally satisfied.
