These shoes are super comfortable! The healing part that usually rubs is low, thin, and loose enough not to rub at all. As others have said, the actual footpad is perforated on the inside with large drainage holes in the outsole. You can feel the "texture" of the small holes on your feet when wearing them barefoot, but that doesn't bother me. If you're wearing socks, you won't really feel them, and I love that they're there for airflow. PLUS they came with an EXTRA set of laces so you can have taupe OR coral pink laces. I love pink, but taupe lace goes with a lot of things.
