This USB charger is so terrible it must be its fault! I LOVE THIS THING! It's amazing how many Lightning USB cables can't charge my iPad Pro 9.7" with 2.4A full current. Very useful tool. I have my tests with 2 different USB voltmeters/ammeters in combination with this charger This charger seems to be the ultimate benchmark That's what I end up comparing everything else to in terms of USB charging at high speeds.Juice!One weird anomaly I've noticed is that when trying to charge the charger at full Testing 40W encountered a wall of around 35-36W where I was only plugging in 500mA would cause the charger to immediately shut down and reset, so I would rate this charger (or at least the one I have) at 35W , not 40W, although the back says 40W - Anything will charge 4 dead iPads at the same time so hardly worth mentioning (Devices tend to only draw the highest amps when they're dead.) it also gets quite warm on the bottom (where the "Caution: HOT surface" sticker is) when you actually load it, say 25-30W devices + at the same time. However, nothing uncertain. The only annoying thing mentioned in other reviews is that you have this in your bedroom or hotel room. When your device is fully charged, this charger assumes it is deactivated. Then, when your device uses the first 1% of the battery, this charger will turn on and think the device has been reconnected, causing the green display to glow brightly. This cycle turns on/off/on/off every few minutes throughout the night, driving you nuts until you put a business card or something on the display, move the charger, etc. The design change looks like it might be the problem remedy. But none of these issues require docking, even with half a star. This charger is BAD to the core. BUY IT ASAP!
