Review on Immerse Yourself: Klipsch AW-4i In-Ear Headphones Unleash Superior Sound Quality by Brittany Moore

Great sounding Klipsch headphones

I've been using the Klipsch Image S4i for about six years now and they sound great. I wanted a second good pair of headphones so I bought these with high expectations. I'm not a musician, but I love my music (many genres) and have a critical ear. The main characteristics of these headphones are almost perfect. First and foremost, they sound great. It has good bass without being too boomy. Highs and mids are absolutely clean. You can listen to something with a lot of powerful bass like Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and still hear the highs and mids pretty clearly. The picture (particularly the arrangement of the tones) is quite clear, which means that the phase response is very good. When properly inserted into your ears, they isolate ambient noise quite well, giving you the dynamic range to appreciate Chris Isaac's "Wicked Game," which has an extremely high dynamic range that allows you to hear the music very well and even hear a whiff of it picks its own sound. and not just cables. Incidentally, the shape of my ear canal is such that I insert it backwards and route the wire up and behind my ears, which I find works best with the Klipsch Image S4i. Once you get used to the feel of the wire above and behind your ear, it actually stays better. And for me, due to my personal ear shape, it fits better and sits snugly in my ear without too much pressure. The controls work great on my iPad and iPhone 6 (which aren't the latest generation without an analog audio jack). The buttons are big enough that I can feel the shape of the volume and control buttons. The only relatively minor downside is that the button control box feels ridiculously large, like a giant TV remote for the visually impaired. Luckily it's not much heavier, just a bit big. Klipsch, if you're listening, you should have stayed with the Klipsch Image S4i. It seems I have to be half blind to need buttons that big. The sound is great, the length of the cables is just right for me, the controls work, there is an assortment of silicone ear tips for different ear canal sizes, I find the controls and buttons too big, but it's not heavy, so not really Problem.
