Trimmer works well. Height adjustment is a matter of guesswork, but once you've twisted your beard a few times, you'll finally get it right. My main issue with this Braun trimmer and the reason I returned to Revain to look for another from a different brand is that the "beard combs" as they call them don't fit well. It's more than easy to accidentally clip them too far back on the trimmer, drastically altering the depth of cut. I keep my beard short but not short for 5 days. I got a haircut yesterday. The comb clogs easily and must be removed to remove the trimmed hair. I use a shorter comb on trim setting 6... when I cleaned the comb and put it back on it snapped in the wrong position and I cut a long strip that was so short only stubble remained. I had no choice but to trim my entire beard, essentially OFF! Now I look like a bum who hasn't showered in a week. It's too easy to get the comb in the wrong position. It can also be moved during use. A major design flaw in my opinion. I will look for another brand and donate it to good will.
