Review on πŸŽ’ NeatPack 20L Foldable Nylon Backpack with Security Zippers - Durable Daypack in Blue by Marc Burke

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Interior zipper pocket and great design for comfortability.

Tested out a few different packable day packs (trying to find a good one for SE Asia trip this summer). So far, this has been my favorite one. Two big plusses:1. It actually has an interior zipper pocket. I'm amazed how many packs don't have this, though most packable packs do include this feature in the design because the packs typically roll up into that pocket. The reason I love the pocket is that it's the best place to keep money, IDs, Passport. For a thief to get one zipper open without your noticing is difficult, but for them to then get a second zipper (at a different angle) open and grab the contents inside.it would be almost impossible to do that without notice.2. While there is no back padding support (there never is in a packable/foldable daypack), somehow the design of this bag makes this a non-issue. I tested the bag out with a Macbook and a large Canon dSLR with big lens (probably close to ten pounds of weight in it), plus one 21oz metal hydraflask, and somehow this awkward set-up didn't dig into my back or do the thing where it makes the pack look awkward by hanging off your back weird. I tried a few different iterations of these items and other things like clothing, and it felt great in any set-up. I was pretty shocked by this. The overall comfort of this on my back was a huge selling point.I will be taking this as my main daypack for 11 weeks through SE Asia in the rainy season, so I will have to report back in September on how well it did. So far I'm feeling really good about it though!

Pros
  • Stylish design and available in multiple colors
Cons
  • May not be suitable for carrying heavy textbooks or books
