Review on 🧵 2 Pack COATS CLARK Thread - 125 Yard spools by Dawn Fischer

I've just started sewing on a sewing machine and didn't know what type of thread to buy. I bought 2 spools of Coats Dual Duty black yarn from this seller. I've been practicing sewing with 100% cotton strips and every round of practice I've had trouble with this thread. The top stitch looked good, but the bottom stitch felt like a thick braid—like the upper thread was being pulled tight against the lower thread. I checked the tension of the bobbin and thread guide several times. A brand new needle, but it has also been altered. Problem still exists. I got different results immediately when I replaced the Coats yarn I bought here with the All Purpose Coats yarn I bought from JoannFabric. The thick "braid" on the bottom stitch has disappeared. No problem. The perfect stitch. Experienced seamstresses may know that double thread doesn't work 100%, but for people who are new to the sewing machine, be aware that dual duty Coats thread (assuming this seller actually sells genuine Coats thread) may not works with her. quilted fabric - 100% cotton.
