The Microsoft charger that came with my Surface Pro started having problems right away (mainly it wouldn't charge without trying to reconnect). When he died I didn't want to buy a replacement from Microsoft ($75). My IT specialist recommended I look elsewhere, which I did. This charger had good reviews but two complaints were 1) a shorter cord; and 2) longer time to charge. I took a risk After weeks of continuous use, I can assure you that it charges just as fast as the original. I put two cords next to each other and they are the same length. Oh, and it costs a third of Microsoft's replacement. Did I mention it charges every time I plug it into the wall? You can buy this with confidence.
