I've only been carrying this case in Florida for a few weeks but so far I'm very happy with it. I bought this for my 2006 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic with full windshield, roll bars, passenger seat back and full size hard bags when I couldn't find my old suitcase. The old binding was heavier material but badly worn. However, I wasn't ready to replace him until he was gone. I was concerned that the new case might be too big, but it fits well, especially when I take the time to tie it with the straps. I only do this when I expect strong winds and I think without the use of straps the halyard will probably work fine in wind. I recently found my old suitcase but I love the new one so much I still have it on the bike. It protects against heavy Florida rains and feels durable, although the material is lighter than my previous case. I only gave it a durability rating of 4/5 because I didn't have it long enough to rate its actual durability. My V-Star is actually longer than many other cruiser models, so this size case should fit most of them. Its elastic binding ensures a tight and secure fit on my bike. Recommend this case for those big cruisers.
