These amplifiers actually work with me since they have a much larger quantity of earbuds to choose from than the usual three pairs I run into. After trying a couple, I found a size that made an airtight seal in my ear canal.I've been blasted by physically painful squealing in my ear by amplifiers that I couldn't get a good seal with so that's my second step after powering them off. These did amplify my TV environment effectively and have plenty of volume levels to choose from, but the lower half of the volume was more than sufficient.They only have two program choices which is a fancy way of saying frequency filters. I was able to get a good filter effect between the two but a couple more options would've been nice for more sound customization.Overall though, these are ahead of the pack of other similarly designed amplifiers I've tried through Walmart.
