Soothed and asleep baby!

We recently traveled for the first time with our young son. He sleeps well but I was concerned about sharing a hotel room and disturbing his sleep with noise and light. Despite the cost of this item, I bought it hoping it would make our trip a success. I chose this item over cheaper competitors because it doesn't attach directly to a backpack and play, which may not be safe once baby is older and able to stand up, and other reviewers have mentioned it's among a few options fits toddler beds, so I figured we might use this for years to come. Our trip was a complete success. It didn't take up much more space than the box and the game itself, so we could easily place it in a corner of a hotel room. It's DARK inside so the baby slept very well despite being right next to the lamp and window. I could hang his noise machine inside or outside the capsule. It's a little tricky to get the baby into the fold without squeezing or waking him up, but we managed. Opening or closing the zipper to check them while sleeping did not wake the baby. I didn't use the monitor pocket (since we were literally next to them) but I did use the fan pocket on the bottom and it worked fine. Takes up quite a bit of space in the installation but was easy to move once assembled. My parents laughed at me when they saw this thing, but it really helped the kid sleep well on the street!
