My wife has been talking about ring lights for a long time and has wanted one for a long time. In the meantime I was skeptical and thought that any light source would work for photos and videos, but buying this light made me believe. This light is just great for illuminating objects for photos and videos. The ring provides even illumination and there is a phone holder in the middle. The light has multiple brightness and color temperature options, so no matter what you have in mind I have a feeling this light can do it for you, at least for amateur level shots! The base is great for standing up and taking steady shots or video with the screen facing you or your subject, but we've also found that it allows for easy camera adjustment as you rotate your phone and point the camera at what You pick it up while you hold the base. My ONLY complaint is that it blocks part of your screen, making it very difficult to ensure your subject is in frame and properly aligned. To be honest, this flashlight isn't designed for that anyway, so it's hard for me to get upset about it. I will take a photo of anything unless it is a 'now' photo. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap ring light.
