I guess I'm spoiled to have a Logitech Z205. A USB cable for audio and power and extremely surprisingly clear sound with very good mids just no lower octaves. Unfortunately, after sliding off the back of my laptop a few times and bending the USB connector, the Z205 was unable to connect to the computer. Emulating the same thing, this version of Cyber Acoustics falls short for a number of reasons. The dual cables (USB power and optional audio) are a mess if left plugged into a laptop. When playing the aforementioned song, this speaker turned into a downright rumble, and the drivers almost sounded blasted at times. There's a lot of upper bass in this song and this speaker doesn't handle it very well. I'm pretty sure it's either a loose driver or maybe a rattling metal cover, but it's definitely there and definitely annoying. Either way it still sounds better than the built in laptop speakers in my Dell Lattitude E6530. However, I'm disappointed that I don't get the same "clear sound" as my Logitech Z205 (horribly overpriced). I paid $30 for new ones and now they're a whopping $220 here at Revain.
