I bought a 25 lb bag of rice and needed a clean/dry place to store it. My first thought was to get a large plastic bucket with an airtight lid. However, after further consideration, I decided that a container that I could easily grasp with one hand for everyday use in the kitchen would be more convenient and efficient. I made the right choice. This container closes well to keep my food clean and has a handy spout and measuring cup. Didn't know I got a whisk too so it was a nice surprise. What I really like about this container is that it's dishwasher safe, so I can be sure the container is really clean before I put food in it. I put the top basket in the dishwasher and washed the top. It turned out well, the seal is not damaged (the lid is not deformed and has not settled) and the measuring lines on the cup have not washed off. I bought two of these and I'll probably need two or three more to hold all the rice, but that's the price for a container that's dishwasher safe, lifted with one hand, and easily stored on a shelf. Kitchen shelf. Such a container is also suitable for storing cereals and other cereals. I'm happy with my purchase and will probably buy a few more.
