I bought this set to complement my new laptop for a programming class I'm taking so haven't had a chance to play with it yet but I like the compact size without the 10 - keypad! The mouse is so smooth and the wheel clicks quietly. I really like the brightness of this set, both parts are nice, bright and colorful, and the keyboard backlight goes to sleep until you press again (the keyboard itself doesn't go to sleep, only the backlight). I'm happy to use this set more and more, but I also appreciate the nice bonus of a mouse pad. Everything fits perfectly in my new laptop briefcase, so I can't ask for more!
