Before I start the review, I would like to recommend that when you buy this device, you only connect it to the computer as a separate device first and do not connect everything to it first . Let Windows detect and install it, then connect your USB devices or . to do this after Windows has done its thing. Now for the review itself. I use a quad core i9 for work these days and it's quite a powerful machine. I also use two monitors at home along with an extra hard drive, mouse and keyboard, printer and laptop stand fan currently using the USB ports. I have a peripheral switch so I can go back to my laptop if needed. When plugged in, my Windows 10 was able to recognize and handle whatever it needed, and no additional installation of cat-and-mouse game drivers was required. Everything is available here and now. One advantage of this Wavlink over most others is that when your monitors are different sizes and models, many docks get confused and do strange things and then you have to spend hours trying to figure out how to tweak/fix the problem. However, this Wavlink quickly figured out what was going on on my system and automatically adjusted its settings with no problem. I don't see any screen flickering or other glitches. I also use the 3.5mm jack for audio and even that works fine with the dock. Interestingly, the dock was smart enough to somehow figure out how to receive and send sound via HDMI and then the 3.5mm audio jack, which is pretty nice and impressive. The ports are working and I've noticed that the temperature can go up to 80 or even 85 and unfortunately I've noticed a minor momentary disconnect and reconnect or two in one of the USB ports. Not sure if it was the heat or not but when I replaced their cables and gave two of them a half day break and got back to them they all worked as they should. Although it can do 5k on paper, it's actually a single 5k monitor and I didn't have the equipment to test it, so I put my full experience into the dual 4K 60Hz displayport, which it handled flawlessly. Overall I support this dock for the number of ports and compact size with its amazing plug and play and smooth setup process that makes life very easy. The price is also lower than most well-known competitors. If I were looking for ways to improve, I'd say that the power delivery isn't that great on some of the laptops I've tried it with. Don't rely on his loading skills.
