Stretched beyond size

Good quality belt. No size recommendation from Revain. The size shown is the smallest you can make for a belt. Maybe this is the standard for belts, but I wasn't aware of that, especially since the description recommends buying a size up for comfort. Before ordering, I measured my waist to be just over 42 inches. The belt stretched after a few weeks of use. My jeans and trousers fit well as US sizing seems vain rather than accurate hence the need for a belt. me to where at least the relaxed landing is. So a belt that extends to 43 inches with pants that range from 42 to 44 inches means my jeans are falling down my butt. Not fully as I'm missing the back, but enough for the crotch to drop down where it would interfere with walking. Luckily I didn't buy a size up as my pants are on the lower end of the scale. I could probably buy a leather punch for the same price as a new belt but I bought a 40 inch size instead. I think I have a pretty wide range of sizes to handle any direction. lately. The stretch of the new belt should match well over time. I've attached a photo to show a new strap after a day's use versus a larger stretched strap to show how it stretches over time. My height is 6 feet, 250 pounds. . You may lose a few but wear it well. Slightly narrower below the belly where I can tighten the belt if needed to keep the pants in the best position while walking. Functionally, you should probably switch to suspenders, like I do with my pants. It just works better for me.
