The top of the picture is my original end cap [which I burned so had to be replaced]. You can see my original is a bit more transparent than the new replacement shown below. If you look at my fingers, the difference is clearer. However, I am happy with the new one, which is more flexible [ie, softer] than my old one. Please note that it does not come flat: it comes folded so there is a slight crease. The crease disappeared after a few hours of sun exposure. Also, the "flange" hanging between the post and the plate is 2mm shorter than my original flange. This only matters if the top of the slab and the worktop are not flush, in which case a slightly longer flange will hold the side of the worktop better.
