Like most reviewers, I really like these grinders. Use them daily.1. I've found it's best to keep them fully upright while sanding. Holding it at an angle will keep some of the pepper or salt in the grinding area (and then come out the next time you use it, setting aside more than you wanted).2. The grinding area of a salt mill needs to be cleaned more frequently, say once a month, as salt tends to stick to the inside walls.3. When my hands are wet, rubbing against the top metal isn't enough to sand. While this can spoil the look, some holds will help.
