So I spent a few hundred dollars more on V-Moda's second Crossfire because people said in the reviews/comments that the Bluetooth hiss of the first Crossfire couldn't be heard on them. Not true. The headphones themselves are great, but I've tried many different Bluetooth headphones, as well as Bose and Sony noise canceling headphones, this has to be the worst Bluetooth hiss I've heard. Keep in mind that this issue is minor if you turn the music up high enough, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who enjoys listening to quieter music or low volumes. So why a star when the sound and build quality are excellent? Because I absolutely do not recommend you to buy them over the fade (version 1). Even with the aptx codec I don't hear any difference in sound quality. I tested both pairs with headphones and the V-Moda 2 performed slightly better, but you'll only notice this difference on paper. Not worth the extra hundreds of dollars. If you don't REALLY like the "click crease," I've read many people complaining on Reddit and audiophile forums that the "click crease" is the V-Moda M-100's Achilles heel. because the pins that hold them together are cheap quality or something. This can be a nice feature if you travel a lot, but if you just hang up your phones like I do, I'd say it's not worth it.
