* **UPDATE: I just spoke to Epson support for over 45 minutes including 2 experienced support reps and at the end they said they couldn't help me because it has aftermarket ink cartridges. Basically if you buy this you should be prepared to pay a fortune for their ink or have ยฃ30 paper on hand. I bought it after reading all the reviews saying it wouldn't stay connected. I'm a techie and got it, I can probably figure it out. 8 months later I have to turn it off and on again every time I want to print, otherwise it can't be found on the network (wireless connected printer mode). Just today (06/30/20) there was a firmware update, I was very excited and hoped that this would solve the terrible connection problem. To my dismay, after completing the update, I received an error code indicating that my non-genuine ink cartridge could not be recognized. After reading a few threads online, this seems to have been an attempt by Epson to trick their customers into buying overpriced cartridges. Now I have to ditch the absolutely fine XL black ink cartridge and buy an overpriced Epson cartridge just to get through the day. Great way to piss off your customers! I will definitely never buy from Epson again.
