The black plastic covers that came with the LED lights didn't seem to want to curl up and go in properly. So I removed the Incadestan bulbs and plugged the LED lights into the Subaru housings that came with the car. With that in mind, I didn't disconnect any of the three cables going to the cluster, which would allow me proper access. I kept them in touch. There are only 3 lamps of this size that can be replaced. The rest of the headlights are smaller and I changed them a week ago. The ones I bought at the dealer for $11 each. Oops! My Subaru has 210,000 miles on it and the original bulbs worked but were blackened and definitely needed replacing. I bought the white LEDs hoping they would match my wife's cross gauge better, but they may actually be a bit brighter because they are LED and new, but the instrument cluster looks exactly the same due to the green tint. You switch from dimmed to full brightness with the turn signal button.
