Review on Full Grain Leather Intrepid Stainless Buckle Men's Accessories in Belts by Matthew Mosley

I bought one of these in brown when I needed that color to match my first pair of brown shoes after looking through various $60-80 straps at a department store. So my goal was to get a decent brown belt. TRAKLINE exceeded my expectations and is without a doubt the best belt I have ever owned. Launched on Kickstarter, this product is basically based on the idea of old army canvas belts with buckles that can bite anywhere. the belt itself, which allows for infinite fit adjustment and does not require holes to stretch and tear, and applied to a leather belt. The belt has a long strip on the inside with small latches and the buckle uses a metal ratchet to lock and hold the belt in place. Not quite "infinite" adjustment, but the detents are so close together and there are so many of them that you get an incredibly precise adjustable fit. The top is a small lever at the bottom of the buckle that allows you to quickly release the belt with one hand. This comes in very handy when you need a looser fit while eating or in any other situation - just bend over and pull out a few of the tabs to get a perfect fit. The build quality of the units sold here at Revain is superb. The belts are made of thick natural leather and practically do not stretch or deform, which indicates that these belts will last a long time. The sturdy stainless steel buckle is also heavy, well polished and well finished. The ratcheting mechanism is fully polished and the small adjustment lever moves smoothly with a single movement of your fingertip. This is a very easy to use belt. After cutting it along the convenient dotted lines, attach the buckle to the rectangular end. To don, simply tuck the pointed end into the buckle's slot and criss-cross the tabs for a snug fit. It's oddly satisfying to snap your belt in place with a click-click-click. To remove it, you must pull forward on the spring-loaded lever just below the buckle and release the end. I had a bad experience trying to purchase a discounted version of this Fearless buckle and belt from another site. Obviously there are some broken or old versions of this buckle out there and you don't need them. Mine had a hard, jagged, completely different shaped adjuster arm that was difficult to operate, less polish on the working parts of the buckle, and a broken tooth where the buckle attaches to the belt. Make sure you buy yours from Revain or another seller that sells good TRAKLINE stuff, not rags or the like. I loved these TRAKLINE belts so much I bought another one in black (there's a cool belt hanger you can get). from TRAKLINE if you have more than one) and one each for my father and son-in-law as Christmas gifts. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They work and just look better than anything I've seen in over 20 years of wearing leather belts. There's no reason to pay more for an old-style belt whose holes never match and which can't be adjusted with such ease and precision every time. Five stars. UPDATE: I wore out my brown Trakline. after about 2.5 years of use five days a week. It hasn't broken or even looked bad, but the inner leather layer has torn in two places and deformed into a slightly curved shape (all my leather straps do that over time). I think that's a good "mileage record" (haha) and now I'm on my black Trakline which is mostly unused due to wearing brown shoes. It is worth noting that the belt is not discolored or frayed and of course there are no holes to pull out of shape. In other words, even worn it looked good. I am still convinced of the product. One final note: I tried to order another dark brown Trakline and found that it was temporarily out of sync with that color. So note that "brown" straps more closely resemble the advertised "brown" color, at least until Summer 2017.
